Working as a caregiver is about far more than just fulfilling basic tasks; it's about bringing a sense of support, care, and companionship to adults who need it most. As a caregiver, I am responsible for assisting individuals with their day-to-day needs, but at its core, this role is deeply personal and rewarding. On a typical day, I help with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding. Ensuring medications are taken on time is a crucial part of the job, as well as monitoring vital signs and reporting any changes in health. I often assist with mobility, helping individuals get in and out of beds, wheelchairs, cars, or showers. These tasks are essential to maintaining the physical well-being of the adults I care for, and I take pride in knowing that my attention to detail helps keep them safe and comfortable. Household duties are also a significant part of caregiving. I help with meal preparation, ensuring the individuals I care for receive nutritious meals.
