I’m so grateful to Wendy for the care she gave my parents. I hired her to look after mom, but dad eventually needed help as well. She took them to appointments, kept track of medical information and shared important information with me, picked up groceries and medicine, prepared food, and even helped with my parents’ beloved cat. As time went on and my parents were less capable, Wendy tirelessly took on more duties like managing mail, bills, paperwork and communication with doctor’s offices. I lived about an hour away from my parents and was not able to oversee their day to day routine and care, so I came to depend on Wendy to be my ‘eyes and ears’. She communicated well and put my mind at ease. Mom has a neurological condition that makes her speech quiet and her words slurred, and Wendy was so kind and patient with her and seemed to bring mom out of her shell. Dad was never the easiest person to get along with, but Wendy made a connection with him and they became good friends. Ultimately, dad needed home hospice care, and Wendy’s past experience with this process made her an absolute ANGEL. After dad passed, I moved my mom to a care home near me, so we were no longer in need of Wendy’s services, but we cherish the time she was a part of our family. We truly couldn’t have done it without her.
