I was born to be a caregiver! I began caregiving at the age of 5, while assisting my mom with the care of my grandmother. At 10, I transitioned to assisting my mom with her daily living activities due to her own health issues. By the age of 18, caring for my mom changed from assisting with ADLs to end-of-life care as she lost her battle to cancer. After her death, I helped care for a set of grandparents and my mother-in-law as they each battled different diseases/health concerns. From 2016 until 2022, I provided care for my sister until her passing. In between caring for my family members, I worked my way up from a CNA certification to certifications as an Activity Director and Social Service Director. Finally, earning an AAS in practical nursing in 2011. Along with these personal experiences, I have past employed experience in short and long-term healthcare facilities, family practice, and orthopedics as well as in- home care.
