Ursula has been an exceptional tutor for our son. We started working with her in the middle of his 1st grade school year after months of looking for an in-home tutor. Me and my husband work from home and having her come to us helps tremendously with our schedules. She is extremely prompt and reliable - always comes right on time. When she began working with him, he was struggling to make progress on his reading ability - he was not near grade level and was having a hard time with sight words. Thanks to her effective teaching methods, by the end of the year he was making steady progress on grade level standards. Sight words are now no problem for him. The best is hearing him read menus at restaurants! Sounds small but that was a goal I had in mind for him. Additionally, reading homework was very stressful and would take a very long time. We saw a very fast change with homework. The time to complete was significantly reduced due to his increased ability to read. Ursula is not only highly skilled but also wonderful with our son. He looks forward to her visits every week, which speaks volumes about her ability to make learning enjoyable. She will bring books with topics he is interested in - he always is asking to keep the books she brings. She also brings games and worksheets for him to work on. We do not have to provide anything - she brings it all! We are incredibly grateful for the positive impact she has had on his reading skills and overall confidence. Highly recommended!
