I began working with children in December 2020 when I moved to the United States as an Au Pair. I cared for four boys with different personalities and needs, staying with the same family for two years. In 2023, I became a freelance nanny, caring for a young girl for seven months until her family relocated to Towson. From September 2023 to January 2025, I worked with another family, providing care for their baby until they started school. Taking care of children has been an honor and a joy, and I remain in touch with all the families I have worked with. Alongside my childcare responsibilities, I have pursued my nursing education, completing prerequisite courses such as psychology (lifespan and development). I take pride in my ability to adapt to the unique needs of each child and family, and I am committed to creating a safe, nurturing, and fun environment for children to grow and thrive. Thusi took care of our daughter between the ages of 4-19 months. She is an amazing caregiver; she takes the time to understand your family’s needs and tailors her caregiving approach accordingly. She would often work with me to discuss my daughter’s growth and suggest age appropriate activities or skills that we could work on. I also really appreciated that she was so routine oriented. She ensured from day one that we had a flexible schedule for our daughter, which really helped us out in the long term and set my daughter up for success at nursery. I would wholeheartedly recommend Thusi for any family that needs someone to care for a little one, you will be so glad to have picked her!
