About Tessa

Hello!! I have many years of experience in childcare. I began nannying at age 14 and consistently worked with that family for almost 10 years-the children were 2 and 6 months when I began. I have also nannied a 2-month-old until she was 3 years old and additionally took care of her baby sister; so I am comfortable with 2 under 2. In college, I received my bachelors degree in Special Education and have classroom experience with children with severe disabilities. I pivoted career paths and have worked at The Children's Center as a Therapeutic Preschool Specialist. That job consisted of facilitating group therapy for children with trauma, behavior and emotional regulation issues. I have experience with children with a range of diagnoses, including Autism and ADHD. I am beginning graduate school at Westminster in their Clinical Mental Health Counseling program. I am honored to be a big or small part in a child's life-it is the most important work!
