About Teka

Hello! My name is Teka and I am 31 years old and live in Carpinteria, CA. I have 10 years of experience babysitting, nannying (ages 0m-12 yrs) and working with preschoolers. I previously ran an at-risk youth program for 3 years with kids ranging in ages from 5-18. I have also worked at the a youth organization in the childcare department and was a full-time nanny for a year to two children under the age of 3. I have a reliable car and am a highly responsible driver. I care deeply about health, and I am currently pursuing my bachelor's degree online in Global Health with minors in family & human development. I am creative, engaged and am ready to help in whatever ways your family may need. During my time at SBCC I took some early childhood development classes. I am not up to date on my CPR/first aid certifications but would be willing to update them if need be. I love working with kids and enjoy making connections with families. I am excited to meet you!
