Hi! My name is Janira and I am a NYC native. While living in NYC I worked as a tutor for grades K-12 and as a TA within the Public School System. Since moving to Santa Barbara in 2017, I have worked at a Montessori school community that taught me the importance of allowing the child to lead. As a nanny (and babysitter), I have worked with several families and two agencies in Santa Barbara. I have experience caring for infants, toddlers, and school-age children. I do not have a favorite age as I believe each developmental stage is exciting and fun to be a part of. Currently, I am working with a non-profit named the Wilderness Youth Project. I have been with them for the past four years and am very grateful for all the skills this line of work has provided me with. I've been told my most obvious and greatest quality is that I am nurturing. I consider myself a person who likes caring for others, warm, self-directed and very organized.
