About Susan

I have done many hours of volunteer work with seniors. I have golden retrievers who I used to take to senior care facilities for visits. I was a regular volunteer with Almond Blossom Senior Care, I would take the dogs and we would make cookies, visit, play games, etc during our visits. I also regularly visited a lady at another skilled nursing facility; we'd play Rummikub (she always won) while the dog would sleep at our feet. I have close relatives who live in the Bay Area, they're in their 80's and one has dementia. I drive down to visit them about once per month and have some first-hand experience dealing with the challenges presented with dementia care.
