About Stephen

After 7 years in graphic arts, this tutor sub-taught / taught in CPS Elementary Schools for about 14 years (K-8th grades) as a Computer Lab (Reading/Math) Library and Art teacher, mostly in primary low-income Chicago schools. I graduated from Chicago State Univ. with a BA degree with an IL Elem. Teaching Certificate. But full-sized classroom teaching was not my forte, so I began to tutor and do some free-lance graphic design. I've Tutored Reading, Mh, Writing and Art in a No Child Left Behind (21st Century) 5-yr. Fed. Funded after-school program, from 2004-2009. I've since been working p/t with a Tutoring service as well as 1.5 yrs. as a p/t Art Instructor/after-school Reading/Math Tutor. My evaluations/ratings in these tutoring settings have been consistently excellent to outstanding.
