Not currently taking new jobs. I have worked with disabled and elderly adults for over five years. I believe growing up with my grandmother living in our household is part of what has drawn me to this work. I connect well with elderly or vulnerable people. It can be challenging on occasion, but overall it's very rewarding. Helping someone to live as independently as they are able, including remaining in their own home if that's what they desire, is an honor and a blessing. Resisting my natural inclination to help too much has been part of my journey. I have learned the importance of allowing others to do all that they can for themselves so that they can maintain their dignity and confidence, and continue to feel independent and in control of their lives.
