About Sophia

Hi there! My name is Sophia and I am a creative and responsible 22-year-old! I am a recent graduate (with Latin honors) of the University of Chicago, where I studied media arts & design and astronomy & astrophysics, as well as earned an MA in humanities-oriented data science. I am looking for a part-time or full-time position, and my rates start at $20/hour for one child. I have worked as an art teacher for the past eighth years, and in college volunteered as a tutor and mentor to middle school-age children. I have my own car and am willing to help out with small tasks around the house. My focus is on giving your child a safe, structured, and creative space to learn and grow into a wonderful person. I love doing crafts, cooking, reading, playing games, encouraging independent time, assisting your child with their studies, and special weekly outings when appropriate. I'm firm but kind and will work with you on any challenges your child may come to. I look forward to meeting you!
