About Sonnet

I'd describe my personality as cheerful, attentive and creative. I like tutoring because I love personal connection, and I'm naturally curious. I'm looking for a job that has regular hours, and is open to meeting online. I started tutoring at 14 when my younger brother started a program for dyslexia. Everyday I would learn the lesson and then teach it to him. Through this experience I discovered my tutoring skills, and I've continued to develop them ever since. In my spare time, I like to hiking, knitting, and audio books. One thing you should know about me is that I take building a relationship with my student seriously. I customize my teaching methods to their strengths and weaknesses, I listen to them attentively, and I show them the same respect that I in turn expect. My skills include active listening, flexibility in accommodating different learning styles, and total dedication to helping my student gain the tools they need to achieve success.
