I was a Live-in Nanny to a little girl in Irvine. She was barely 2 1/2 months old when I started with the family. I just left the family recently with a broken heart. The little girl was 2 1/2 years old when I left because I opted to move in the Valley because my Church is here and the weekly trips from Orange County to the Valley and back again was taking its toll on me. As a Live-in Nanny, my primary duty was to take care of the little girl. I pureed fruits and vegetables for her when she was an infant. I started reading to her when she was 6 months old. I sang nursery rhymes to her. When the weather permits, we would walk to the park. She grew up to be a very smart little girl. When I left her, she already knows her shapes, colors, body parts, parts of the house and she can tell basic information about herself. I would say, the only thing I overlooked was to potty train her. It's just sad that she had a hard time warming up with her new Nanny after I left.
