About Sonia

I love working with students to help them learn how to solve problems on their own! I believe learning is all about confidence--I help build a "toolbox" of skills that will help students develop into independent problem solvers! *Flexible on rates* I have several years of experience as a tutor and have privately tutored elementary, middle, and high school age students for over five years. I also worked at my college's Campus Learning Center for three years providing interactive and fun activities to help college students of all levels understand Algebra, Chemistry, Biochemistry, and more. I was ultimately promoted to a Senior leader position for demonstrating excellent facilitation skills and trained new hires. Additionally, I volunteered at a nearby high school as Head Tutor to work with students throughout the pandemic who were struggling to keep up with material. I loved every position dearly!
