About Sofia

Hello, families! My name is Sofia, and I am a Mexican American woman from Covina, California. Throughout my years in education, I have been working for families either as a caregiver or educator. As an undergraduate, I taught elementary students at Pomona Unified as a TLC intern. I graduated from the University of La Verne with a BA in Educational Studies. It provided me with a general overview of K-12 education, allowing to assist children and families with schooling. Then as a graduate student at the University of San Diego I studied School Based Clinical Counseling which furthered my knowledge on human development. During 2020 I was an ABA therapist for toddlers on the autism spectrum in San Diego. Then in 2021 I began nannying and tutoring children as a part-time caregiver. Finally, I am fully vaccinated as of April 2021.
