About Skyler

Hello! I have been working with children since I was 13 years old. My first babysitting job was with a 7-month-old, and from there I worked with older kids, up to age 16, giving me experience with all age levels. I took a gap year after high school in which I went to France through Youth Exchange. There I had 4 host families, one of which I had two younger host siblings. My host sister is mentally disabled, and I learned a lot through spending time with her, and we became extremely close. I often helped my host parents with their kids, especially if they needed a night off. I spent over a year volunteering in a kindergarten classroom in a French immersion school in Eugene, Oregon, which gave me experience in early childhood education, and have babysat on and off in the year following my graduation from the University of Oregon in 2020. I have always loved working with kids, and the youthfulness and joy that they bring out in me.
