Sky was interviewed and hired to watch our daughter on a part-time basis. She got along wonderfully with our daughter and even our pets, and she usually arrived about 10-15 minutes early. She cleaned up after herself and seemed very driven. We started with a few paid training sessions then moved on to date nights. She informed us that she was short of cash and needed to be paid in advance for our scheduled date night, which was a successful night. However, she then cancelled the next week only an hour before she was to show, and then asked us to be a reference for another family. We assumed this was another part time arrangement, but found out through the other family and through her that she was looking for a full time arrangement instead. We offered to keep her for our scheduled sessions to wrap up the month until we all find another arrangement, but she suddenly had appointments on those days as well. We also had loaned her a few items during training that she has failed to return to us and still has not attempted to pay for almost a month later. Needless to say, I would not recommend hiring Sky as she was not forthcoming about her goals and needs during the interview process, she was not dependable or reliable to show up for anything beyond the paid training and a single date night, and she demonstrated a substantial lack of tact and professionalism in settling business arrangements. If things had been settled differently, her review would reflect more of how well she took care of our daughter, but in view of her true character and work ethic, I'm filled with absolute disappointment.
