Hey ya'll! I'm Ali, and I love working with kids and adolescents! Currently I am employed as a substitute teacher with the City Schools of Decatur. I love working closely with youth in the community! Prior to this, I've had years of experience as a nanny, babysitter, educational summer camp instructor and supervisor, and a direct care provider for adolescents in long-term residential care facilities. I do everything from a framework of connection, and my first priority is being a safe, comfortable, and supportive person (#1 cheerleader!) for your kiddos. I love outdoor play, music, dancing, and crafts. I have a passion for adolescent mental health and behavior-- my most meaningful, impactful, and educational work has been with adolescents with diagnoses such as bipolar disorder, ADHD, Autism, and PTSD. I've worked closely with transgender youth, and as a member of the LGBTQ+ community, I care deeply about protecting queer youth.
