About Shawnette

I would describe my personality as kind, compassionate, and patient. My passion for caring for seniors stems from my experience as an end-of-life doula, and a goal of starting a business dedicated to working with the elderly. I am currently seeking a role that will allow me to gain experience working with seniors and caregivers in a hospice or respite capacity. My journey began in my 20s when I cared for my grandparents. I sat by my grandfather's bedside until he passed and provided support to my grandmother. This experience deepened my love for the elderly and inspired me to become more involved in their care. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my husband and family. As well as with my father-in-law who is 82 and had Parkinson's Disease. One important thing to know about me is that I have an MBA and work in marketing at a medical communications agency, where I represent a major pharmaceutical company. My skills include empathy, compassion, and adaptability.
