I have been a licensed hair stylist for the last 32 years. 10 years ago I began helping my parents on a more regular basis, providing housekeeping, bill paying, driving to appts, and running errands. In 2011 I became employed by R-Senior Homes and Services. I provided in home care and companionship. Personal care, housekeeping, meal prep and transportation were some of my duties. In 2014, I took a leave of absence from my job to concentrate more on the care of my parents. My father had been diagnosed with prostate cancer in late 2013, and my mother, who's dementia had worsened was now bed-bound. In 2015, I lost my father to cancer and also lost the 8 hours of ins coverage he had. So l needed to move in with my mother to be able to continue her care which she needed 24 hours a day. In Feb. 2017 I lost my mother and am looking for P. T. work/live-in with rent reduction or live out.
