About Sharon

I'm a former nurse experienced working with seniors. I've spent the last 4 years caring for a lovely woman with Alzheimer's & Parkinson's Disease. She unfortunately recently succumbed to her illnesses. I take pride in providing our seniors with the respect and dignity they deserve and promote independence (as safely as they possibly are able to do so). I feel strongly about providing cognitive interaction whether it's with performing appropriate tasks, engaging in conversation, or playing a cognitively, stimulating game. It's important to me that our seniors feel part of their care, their input in it is key (if they are able to do so safely). Physical activity is as important as the cognitive activity. It's also important to keep our seniors flexible and mobility is key. I enjoy working with seniors to maintain all aspects of their physical and cognitive state.
