About Shari

Hello! I am Shari from West Sacramento. I have 17 years experience as a Paraeducator III for the Davis Joint Unified School District. I have recently retired from that position. I worked in the Inclusion Department. If deemed appropriate from the student's IEP, students with moderate to severe disabilities could be part of a regular ed classroom according to their age with modified work and up to 1:1 support from paraeducators underneath a special education supervisor. I have extensive experience with Autism as well as many other disabilities such as Down Syndrome, cognitive disabilities, physical disabilities, and emotional disabilities. The last two years I have been employed by a family in Elk Grove with two autistic boys. I facilitate behavior modification, communication strategies, facilitate social situations, and integrate coping strategies. I still have this position but am needing to add more work to my schedule.
