With over 20 years as a Science and Health teacher, I'm passionate about working with children and creating engaging learning experiences. I focused on hands-on, inquiry-based education and even built a working urban farm in Los Altos with chickens, goats, hydroponics, and a garden to connect students with science. I've recently transitioned from full-time teaching to focus on tutoring, child care, and pet sitting. With a Master of Arts in Teaching Biology, I provide enriching academic support for kids of all ages. I also teach boxing and fitness to children, helping them build confidence and strength in a fun, supportive environment. Shannon was amazing with our kids! We were so thankful for her help on short notice. She was punctual, followed instructions well and picked up both kids from school. She engaged and interacted with them. They really enjoyed her and raved about her. We will definitely be using Shannon again.
