About Sergio

I'd describe my personality as caring, patient, and humorous. I love cracking jokes/laughing with kids; they can be real comedians! I'm looking for a job that challenges and fulfills me. I enjoy working with all children, regardless of gender, age, ethnicity, and developmental skill level. I started working with kids when I moved to San Francisco 3 years ago to start my career as a behavioral therapist. Through this job I utilized play therapy as my theoretical orientation and helped kiddos learn all sorts of socioemotional, developmental, and behavioral skills. My skills include connecting with children, redirecting potential behaviors, and providing empathy and guidance (when appropriate). I genuinely enjoy being curious about young people's interests and meeting them in their world. As a counselor in training and a veteran behavioral therapist, providing care and understanding the nature of children are also in my skill set.
