About Sarah

I grew up in Pennsylvania and graduated from Penn State in 2012 with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. I went on to complete 2 years with Teach for America in Kansas City. Following that, I moved to the coast and continued teaching. In all, I have 9 years of experience in the classroom. I firmly believe that for a child to be successful, they must know what goals they are working toward and be able to regularly see the progress they are making toward those goals. Time and time again I've heard children say, "I am bad at (insert subject area)." I help students identify what parts they haven't developed yet in order to build their confidence and be more successful in the classroom. I have several years of success in increasing students' math and reading scores. I am able to differentiate instruction and determine what teaching strategies would be most effective for that student. The student and myself track the progress being made and communicate that to you.
