About Sarah

I have been working as a professional caregiver since I moved to Santa Fe four years ago. My previous careers include librarianship and travel; I was a tour operator for people with disabilities. My interest in an older population was sparked by a long term job as a companion and driver for a woman with mobility issues and the onset of dementia. I provide mobility assistance, transfers, grooming, dressing, toileting, etc. I also provide transportation, medication administration, do grocery shopping and errands as well as meal preparation. I especially enjoy providing compassionate companionship. I am amenable to working with any client, no matter their needs, but I consider my expertise to be working with people with Alzheimer's and dementia. I have worked with local agencies such as Coming Home Connection and Egis but prefer working directly with clients and families and therefore have had much success on Care. com.
