About Sarah Jane

I'd describe my personality as compassionate, creative, and trustworthy. I like tutoring because working one-on-one with a child creates an authentic connection. Additionally, having taught as a classroom teacher, I know how much children benefit from more targeted support and practice in certain subject areas. I'm looking for a job that is dependable and communicative. I am willing to work with my schedule and yours to make sure everyone is satisfied. In my spare time, I like to practice yoga, read, write, sing, hang out with my partner and our dog, and travel! I love working with children on their social emotional health. Building strong relationships is important because it is paramount for helping to grow and sustain strong communities. My skills include organization and teaching creative thinking strategies. Being a visual learner, I take a unique approach to providing a child with tools they need to feel confident in their own approach to different problems.
