About Sarah

Hello, my name is Sarah. I am a born and raised Austinite and a college student with a passion for reading and writing. I'm currently working toward a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education online at Western Governor's University. I have five years experience working with ages from infant to 3 years old both in a childcare center setting and an in home setting. I've received training on how to promote child development through cognitive, mathematics, language, reading/writing, science/discovery, and health/well-being domains. I use the teaching philosophy Conscious Discipline. Which is a program designed to assist the social emotional development of children and teach problem solving skills to them. Using my experience as well as Conscious Discipline training, I am able to make any child in my care feel safe, loved, and ready to learn.
