I started working with children as a teenager in the Knoxville Children's Theater, teaching classes and directing shows. At the age of 16 I began working at my church nursery, where I realized how much joy babies bring me. I continued to work there each Sunday until I turned 22. At the age of 20 I got a job working with toddlers at a Montessori school. I cared for a class of 14, along with two other teachers, for two years. After that, I worked in a "nature" preschool classroom with ages 3-6. Most recently, I was in home nanny for twin toddlers. Nothing makes me happier than working with children and I love to help them to realize how capable they are.
