Hello! I am available for full-time or part-time caregiver. I am a resident of Valparaiso. Some facts about myself: CPR/first-aid knowledgeable, current card, excellent driving record and insurance. I consider myself to be a punctual, honest, and reliable person. My hours are flexible to accommodate your needs. My past work experience has been taking care of a Valparaiso University professor (retired). My duties included meal preparation, light housekeeping, running errands, driving to appointments, assisted in medication dosage. Assisted in personal hygiene if needed. I also assisted a husband and wife with everyday duties in their home. I prepared meals, did laundry, drove to appointments, and helped in other requests as needed. My mother was in a nursing home the last 13 years of her life. I visited her often at the Lutheran Home in Crown Pt., and was very comfortable in that setting. No matter what age a person is, compassion, respect, and encouragement is needed by all. I also worked in a nursing home environment and it gave me a lot of satisfaction in helping the residents.
