About Remi

I am the second child of six. Including my extended family, I have nearly 50 cousins. As one of the eldest, I was responsible for watching the younger ones, keeping them fed, entertained, etc. I grew up cooking and cleaning for the household to lighten my mom's load. I didn't start paid babysitting till I was 14 and stopped once in college. I am very familiar with the strains a parent can experience. As a babysitter, I always prioritize the parent's methods before my own. I am comfortable with enforcing rules and consequences when needed. I strive to encourage a child's imagination and creative skills before offering screen time. I believe in respecting a child as I would a peer, not belittling their intelligence. Every person serves as a role model to a child and should behave as such. I want to offer a safe place for parents to entrust their children and a space for children to be themselves and flourish.
