About Paige

Most of my experience has been as a copy editor/proofreader/writer. Much of the time I fix what is wrong instead of teaching others how to do it right. I am certified by Emerson College as a copy editor and plan to refine my knowledge in that area by obtaining re-certification by UC-Berkeley beginning in the fall. Their program is much more intense; it is three to four classes long and spends an entire semester on grammar, something I would definitely like to know more about. This does not mean that I cannot tutor someone in the areas I've identified as my strengths. I was once a graduate student in history and was told by a professor I respected that my writing was "magisterial". This means authoritative or masterful. I also succeeded (where a lawyer had failed), in getting her client disability by writing a letter to the SSA proving they were wrong to have denied the client in the first place. I know how to write and I love literature. These are my intellectual strengths.
