About Oona

I have always loved working with kids, and I feel that I am able to make connections with kids quickly. My experience includes working with one family's 5-year-old daughter as well as another family's 5-year-old son and 7-year-old daughter. My responsibilities included making simple breakfasts, lunches, and dinners, as well as helping them with bath time and putting them to bed. I also enjoyed keeping the kids entertained by watching movies, playing games, reading to them, and taking them to the park. In high school I tutored 3rd grade students, and in college I helped teach sculpture to high school students, so I have experience with teaching and assisting in homework. I graduated from NYU with a degree in Studio Art, and have been working as a Pastry Cook, but have decided that I want to transition back into childcare because I am missing the connections that I had with families I worked with and the fulfillment of working with sweet, bright, creative kids!
