I have worked in various healthcare and elderly facilities, working for elderly people I have learnt more patience , I have worked with seniors with dementia, bedridden, hoyer lift , colostomy cases, incontinence , feeding tubes , dependent and independent seniors , diabetes , vision impaired I ENJOY BEING A CAREGIVER BECAUSE - I love helping people in general, those with disabilities, elderly people etc It gives me joy knowing I am making someone happy and I also learn a lot from seniors , they love telling their stories and there's a lot of wisdom to learn from them My Skills are colostomy care , incontinence care , companionship , safety measures (using gait belt, hoyerlift, wheel chair transfers) , catheter bag , good hygiene (bathing and denture care) , end of life care and companionship (hospice) , medication reminder , assist patient with activities of daily living , meal preparation and help with physical therapy exercises.
