About Nora

Hi there, I'm Nora. I live in Lincoln Park and grew up in Winnetka, Illinois. I'm currently a full-time substitute in the lower school of one of Chicago's oldest and most reputable private schools (name withheld for privacy reasons). I'll be an assistant teacher next year. I've available afternoons, weeknights, and weekends (including overnights). I worked at Random House as a book editor for most of my twenties, so I'm happy to help with homework related to reading comprehension, grammar, and essay writing. I'm also happy to help with light cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, and errands. My colleagues and friends would describe me as empathic, intelligent, kind, and creative. I encourage your children to be their whole selves with me. If you have twins or multiples, I'm well-versed in twin dynamics--I have a twin brother who I'm still very close with.
