Hi, my name is Chanel. Nice to meet you! I'm currently a teacher but I'm in the process of transitioning out of the classroom. I've been working with children since the age of 25. I use to be a Residential Counselor. I worked with children who had mental health challenges due to trauma. I decided to go back to school to get my Masters in Teaching. I love education & I love children! Of the 13 years of counseling & teaching, in all of my experiences & work, I'm most proud of my ability to build relationships with children. I'm most proud of my ability to help them discover themselves so that they can begin to actualize their greatest potential! Thank you for trusting me! Nurturing children, helping them to develop & working with their families is part of my purpose in the world. It's part of how I want to help make the world a better place. I'm available M-F. I live in the Hyde Park neighborhood, near the University of Chicago.
