I have worked in Special Education in schools (BD/LD), been a Pre-K teacher, worked as a Direct Support Professional, Supervisor and Program Director for persons with differing abilities. I have also been a Social Worker in Child Protection for the State of Iowa. Currently, I have full time employment as a Group Home Manager for individuals with differing abilities. Over my 20+ professional years, I have had countless hours of specialized training on development, behavior modification and emotional support! I have taken the coursework to become a Registered Behavior Technician, although I have chosen not to pursue the board certification, I have worked many years serving individuals on the autism spectrum using ABA techniques and others to help them in experience a positive and productive life!
