Hello! I am a former elementary school teacher with 33 years experience. I have taught grades 2-6 and also Title 1 reading classes. I believe in the power of reading to and with children to ensure their success in school and life. I would be available in the summer and also would be able to do after school care in the fall. I am also a mom. My oldest daughter has her college degree in communications and works for an advertising firm in Chicago. My youngest daughter is a PA with the orthopedic trauma team at University Hospitals in Iowa City. After my retirement from teaching I worked as a preschool associate for two 4-year-old classes. I believe that children should use playtime to develop their creativity and improve their dexterity and physical strength. I also have worked as an associate for special needs children in our school district.
