hello! my name is Miranda. I have been working with children since I was an early teenager. I have worked professionally as a teachers aide at a preschool in dc for about 4 years which I really enjoyed but I love new experiences and outgrew the preschool environment, I love working as a nanny because I am able to work with children and families individually and that leaves room for a lot of fun ways to teach and help the child(ren) really grow and thrive. I am good with; arts and crafts, Cleaning, basic teaching, Preparing meals, Preparing a fun education schedule and keeping children entertained and happy. Miranda was a god-send to us who helped us through a really tough transition period in our family! She provided care for our two preschool-aged sons for two months, including fixing meals for them, taking them to parks, and taking them to and picking them up from preschool. We were very impressed by and thankful for: - Her efforts to plan and bring daily crafts. Our boys loved them! - Her communication when taking the kids to/from parks and her communication if ever running late. - That she left daily notes explaining the day. - Her pro-activeness to plan for meals and snacks. Our boys had a lot of fun with her. Our childcare needs have changed, and it will be hard to say goodbye, but I know she'd be a great fit for any family needing some help in the coming months. Miranda knows that I am happy to serve as a reference for her.
