I like working with kids because they find joy in simple things and have an eagerness to learn while exploring through play. I'm looking for a job that I can grow with the family in assisting their little one(s) achieve milestones, learn and have fun in a safe environment. I'm looking for PT hours (3 days a week is ideal). I have a 2. 5-year-old and enjoy the PT hours so I can watch my little one grow and learn too! (I would not bring him to work with me- we have family childcare during my working hours) I worked as a babysitter in middle and high school. Then, worked in retail and as a bank teller but made a career as a full time nanny in 2/2013. I've been with 3 families from then until 12/2023- all long term. I have also worked with numerous families during full time employment for weekend/date nights. I try to find creative and engaging activities specific to each child and their interests in helping them learn, while also having fun! I'm described as kind, creative and patient.

April was my daughters’ nanny for over 4 years, starting when our oldest was only 4 months old. She was a wonderful caregiver & I could always rest east knowing she was looking after our littles. April is attentive, quick to create a game or craft, helpful, responsive, great at finding age-appropriate field trips or adventures, trustworthy, a safe driver, and an overall wonderful person. Our daughters are very different but April always met each of them exactly where they were & provided the support & acceptance they each needed. They are both better off for the time they spent with her (and continue to love creating art). She has a huge heart and is in many ways a modern Mary Poppins.
