About Michelle

I have always enjoyed caring for kids! As a teenager, I spent many years as the neighborhood babysitter in order to buy hay for my horse. When my three sons were young, I worked at Orem High School as the English writing lab assistant, helping students write and edit their papers. I later, co-taught preschool with a certified Kindergarten teacher. I loved that job because it taught me a lot about positive reinforcement, creative play, and just common sense parenting hacks! I currently substitute teach in Heber valley. I am comfortable with all ages and I think that anyone can be successful with kids if they treat them respectfully and lead by example. Some of of my favorite things to do with kids are hiking and teaching them about nature and animals etc., going to a museum, zoo, farm, or just to the park! I believe that teaching moments happen ALL DAY, EVERY DAY and sometimes just in conversation! Household tasks and errands are included!
