About Michael

I am excited about the opportunity to tutor children and adults on subjects I excel in and can offer assistance. My areas of expertise are history, language arts, spelling, grammar, public speaking, and writing... among others. With the love of learning as my cornerstone, I discovered the joy of working with people helping them move forward in their career pursuits. I started with adults, as a Navy Counselor, then shifted to young adults and children following my retirement. I now work with (tutor) all ages. As a tutor my starting point with my client is to know where they are and then move forward. I introduce a practical approach that is designed to reveal the hidden competence of the student. My joy is witnessing the student having an "a ha" moment. I also believe every student has the potential to be brilliant. That brilliance will shine through with positive motivation and encouragement. I imagine the student being successful and allow the learning process to move forward at a pace comfortable for him/her.
