About Michaela

I started my first nanny job at 13 and have since been a nanny for a few other families, along with babysitting special needs children, and being a foster mom myself. My passion is children and teaching. I am well versed in all ages and all abilities. My approach is always a learning one. I strive to take every moment as a learning one for both the kids I care for and myself. I do not anger easily and am very patient. I foremost use redirection and communication when it comes to addressing behaviors. It is so important for children to understand their emotions and learn how to utilize skills to process those emotions in a healthy manner. I am trained in TBRI (trust based relational intervention) and practice it daily. I have a huge heart for children and love what I do. I am one of seven children and my parents fostered, as well, growing up, so I am used to controlled chaos and know how to navigate through it all. I have a son that was born in October of 2021 and is my always plus one.
