About Mia

As an aspiring school counselor who is currently in a grad school program, my passion for working with children is strong and I genuinely love working with them. I grew up babysitting younger children in the family as well as outside. I have worked in a pool setting teaching young children starting from 6 months on water safety skills. Through internship experiences through undergrad at SUNY Binghamton University, I've worked with children with special needs, learning disabilities, as well as being able to nurture young children. I currently work for the YMCA, have been cleared by OCFS and work in the day care as well as through the Before and After School program. My past and current paid work experience with children as well as unpaid experience with children has allowed me to be prepared with working with all ages, and have their needs met and be able to provide that in a safe and positive environment.
