About Karen

My love of learning shows while teaching and nurturing children. My NYS certifications in Early Childhood, K-Elementary Ed., Special Ed. and Reading Recovery has offered a lot of experience to assist children with academic, social, and emotional achievements. I have taught full time within public elementary school buildings that included; Rochester City schools, Penfield, Fairport, and Brockport New York schools. My private school experiences allowed me to develop grade K curriculum as well as birth through age 4 developmental programs. Fairport's Home Hospital Tutoring program provided opportunities to teach individual children with health and learning needs. I believe in assessing what student's strengths are, as well as their needs. I am a mother of two adult children, enthusiastic, caring, and a positive person who strives for children's successes while making the learning as interesting and enjoyable as it can be. It would be an honor to meet your child and offer my services.
