Hi there, I'm Mercedes, I'm 34 years old, and I am very experienced in child care! I have worked in a Montessori setting, as well as a Reggio-Emilia- inspired program. I have experience as a lead preschool teacher, aftercare staff, and most recently, an administrator of a local Portland Preschool. Overall, I have roughly 15 years of professional experience with children from ages 1-12. I am currently taking a break from my full time childcare job and would love to continue being around children while I figure out my next exciting step!

Mercedes has been caring for my daughter for years. There are few people who I’d trust to watch over my kid who aren’t family, but Mercedes is one of them. She has years of childcare and teaching experience, and she is has shown tremendous trustworthiness and responsibility. Not only that, but she is just an exceptional human being. Her warmth, humor and fun-loving nature make her someone that any kiddo (and family) would be lucky to know.
