Hello! My name is Melissa, I am 27 years old, and I have a Chemical Engineering degree from UC Davis, and a license as a Professional Chemical Engineer with the State of CA. I have been tutoring for over 3 years, maintaining an average of about 15 hours per week in the school year. I tutor in the evenings after my regular work day as an engineer. I typically tutor high school math, chemistry, and physics. In high school I scored a 2000 on my SAT, 5s on both the calculus AP exams, and a 4 on the Language AP exam. To get my engineering license I had to pass two 6-8 hour engineering exams. I understand that tests can cause a lot of stress for students and I am here to help them feel comfortable and confident going into any exam! I am currently only tutoring online as my schedule is too full to accommodate in-person sessions. Online tutoring has been extremely successful for my students and I believe can work for anyone. Melissa is a wonderful tutor! She is kind, professional, and she teaches in a way that makes sense to my daughter. She has helped with specific areas that caused stress and also took the time to teach her something new. My daughter is more confident in PreCal and is now able to help her friends at school. Her grade has gone up after just two sessions. I highly recommend!
