About Melissa

I have 30+ years of experience caring for children. I started out in my teen years babysitting, and working in daycare centers. For 6 years I was a nanny to 2 kids of a Gynecologist and a top rated Heart Surgeon in Dallas. I love children, and when I had my own, later in life, she was born with special needs. Raising and caring for my child with special needs, gave me experience with tube feeding, Hydrocephalus (shunt), non verbal child (communication devices), non mobile (lifting and transferring), Urinary catheterization every few hours, Cancer of Kidney (Wilms tumor removal at age 6, chemotherapy and radiation.) Much, much more. Feel free to ask questions. I am open to all ages who may need this type of care, not only children. For the last 5 years, I have worked in the field of Geriatrics. I've worked with elderly who have Alzheimer's/Dementia. I love helping others at any age or ability. I LOVE people and genuinely want to help.
