About Melissa

I'm new to Care. com. I'm a mom of grown twins & Grammy to my first grandchild who is 20 mo. Prior to having children, I worked in early childhood education with infants and preschoolers. For the past 6 years I've worked with children 1- 5 yrs old, coaching & supporting their teachers. I've also been caring for my grandson twice a week since he was born. Children learn through play & I love to play! I create intentional developmentally appropriate activities specifically for the child's needs according to their age & developmental stage. This includes exploring and discovering our world through activities, games, music & movement, books & story time, outdoor adventuring, sensory exploration and child lead arts and crafts all without screens. I keep a current CPR cert. I also have training in Child Dev, Birth to 3 Cognitive Dev, Executive Function, Language & Communication Dev, Gross and Fine Motor Skills, Social Emotional Dev. including attachment, self regulation & social skills.
